Team: Pozzuoli, Italy Date: 21st - 31st July 2008 Team Leader: Patrizio Zucchetto Cost: £70 / 100 euro(to be paid in euro to the Team leader at the beginning of the team) Location: Italy’s third city after Rome and Milan, Naples has a population of about 3 million people. Apart from its famous landmarks, such as Vesuvius and Pompeii, that which strikes the visitor is the unique blend of chaotic confusion and warm Latin hospitality. Pozzuoli is a town just a few minutes from Naples in the South of Italy. It is a remarkable place where the Apostle Paul was and so full of History from the NT times. It is a tourist area strategically located to reach the Islands of Capri, Procida and Ischia. The team will be working alongside the Pozzuoli Church. The church is located in the upper part of Pozzuoli and there are about 66 members, 3 Sunday school classes, friends and many contacts. We have been meeting in this place now for 3 years and we still have a desire to reach the neighbours and the community we are in. We will be reaching mostly people with a Catholic background but many who would profess to be catholic but in reality not attending any church. Programme: The team will help out with the distribution of leaflets and invitation to the church programme, open air programme in the main square, international evenings in the hall, sport ministry (football), special events like Pizza evening, house groups, prayer meetings and YF events. The daily programme will basically be as follows:- * Mornings we will mainly be doing literature distribution. * Each afternoon there will be the team praise, prayer and Bible study time. * The evenings will mainly be taken up with church-based activities. * There will be one day-off during the outreach for sight-seeing (Vesuvius, Pompeii, Sorrento, Ischia, Capri, etc).
