Team: POLAND Date: 8th - 18th August2008 Team Leader: Gordon Palmer Cost: £120 / 180 Euros (to be paid in euros to the team leader on arrival) Location: The Mission will be based in five churches, in the south of Poland, Skoczow, Mikolow, Jaworzno, Chorzow and Cieszyn. Poland is the most Roman Catholic country in Europe, and there are very few evangelical churches. Programme: * The major purpose is to share with the churches in southern Silesia in their outreach. * In the mornings, there will be children’s work in the churches with children from the towns. * There will be also open-air work, literature distribution, social action work, English conversation classes for teens as well as youth work and organised evangelistic outreaches in local areas. * Polish nationals who speak English will work alongside and help with language barriers. * Each day, some of the time will be spent in fellowship and training.
