Location:
Trujillo is the third largest city in Peru with a population of over 800,000 and is located about 8 hours north of Lima in a coastal desert region. Centro Biblico Trujillo is a growing church of around 250 people. It is involved in a wide range of ministries and is assisting several new churches in the surrounding area.

Chilete is a small mountain town about 4 hours from Trujillo. It’s situated on the main road to Cajamarca and so, although it isn’t the capital of its district, is a busy town with a lot of movement. It has a small church of about 15 people, which has a good reputation in the town.

Programme:
*We intend to begin each day with a group devotional time in which we’ll do a group Bible study and have time for prayer and praise.
*The main activity will be 5-7 days spent in Chilete.
*The team will travel with a group of Peruvian young people to support the church there.
*We will carry out some practical work in the town (eg. cleaning, painting, etc..), a children’s club, schools work and evangelistic events.
*In and around Trujillo, we will be involved in a range of activities, which may include some of the following: university work, helping in a local orphanage and/or in one of the very poor areas of town near the orphanage, supporting the church planting work being done through Centro Biblico.
*Details will be confirmed nearer the time.

* ‘Day off’ options will include the beach and historic sites of Chan Chan and the Huaca de la Luna near Trujillo and a day in Lima (probably as the team leaves).

*An ability to speak Spanish is not essential as much can be done through translation. What is essential, though, is a willingness to at least have a go at Spanish.
