Team: Hereford, England Date: 3rd - 14th July 2008 Team Leader: Martin Erwin Cost: £45 (to be paid in sterling to the Team leader at the beginning of the team) Location: Hereford is a small city of 57,000 people, situated on the border between England and Wales. Challenge Community Church has been working for 11 years on three council estates in the south of the city, where unemployment is high, single parent families are in the majority, and opportunities are poor. Hereford has lower than the national average number of Christians. Programme: *Each day will begin with a team time, incorporating a time for prayer, worship and Bible Teaching. *We will be doing Children’s clubs and school assemblies, literature distribution and also helping needy families i.e. tidying and cleaning their homes/gardens etc. * *On each Sunday, you will be involved in the normal church services Special events will include a Family Fun Day with bouncy castle, puppet shows, etc.
