The work in Johnstone is a pioneer church planting situation. Bobby & Mairi had the vision to see the closed Gospel Hall re-open its doors to the community as ‘Dimity Street Church’. John & Fiona have committed themselves to this work and there are others who are not full-time but are committed to helping the team work towards establishing this small church.
Ministries: Sunday Service: The church meets weekly and is run in a Sunday School format for 3 out of 4 Sundays of the month. On the first Sunday of the month a typical style family service is held in the morning and in the evening they have a communion and teaching service. Monday: Monday is a busy day with a parent and toddler group in the morning, a parent and baby group in the afternoon and a keep fit class. 
Schools Work: The Lord has opened the doors of schools in the area where the team is able to take assemblies, RE classes and run after schools clubs. As a result 800 children hear the Gospel each month.
Youth Club and Youth Fellowship: Youth club is an informal time of games crafts etc with an epilogue to share the gospel with the children each week. Youth Fellowship is more for young people who are interested in finding out more about God and the Bible. |
